Hi Guys

as almost all other MoTeC products can be comunicated Via CAN
can we have CAN comunications to Program the PLM added to the software

It would be Nice to be able to program it via the Can Bus in the car instead of having to remove the unit and plug in a serial cable

I completely agree that this would be good, but it is unlikely to get done any time soon. But, there is a request in the system for this to be done, so it isnt completely out of the question.

The new LTC's have been brought in and are programmed over can.

Hi Guys Any time frame on this update???
It seem most of the laptops dont have com ports anymore
and the usb to com adaptor I have works ...but only when it feels like it

I am realy over this connection deal.....PLEASE give us CAN on the next software update

What is this system and how does it work? Is it just a list? Who decides?

To do this change, it is going to require a major re-write of the software, and perhaps some hardware changes (Not sure on that though, I guess you only find out as you do the work). Anyhow, the product works, as designed, and transmits messages over CAN to other motec devices.

As you would know, we have now released the LTC (Lambda to CAN) which is configured via UTC over CAN, and it is about half of the price of a PLM.

The decisions are based on priorities, and given that it works as designed, and there is now another product available that does what you are asking, I would say it would be hard to justify the amount of work, that making the change that you are requesting, would take.

The change system is started by people, such as yourselves, who give us feedback on our products. This feedback is given to the directors via test track, and if we get enough requests for something, then the directors may approve the work to be done, and a project is started.

I must say that doubt that this will get done now that the LTC is out.
