Brinkley wrote:Hello,
I am using i2 Standard and have the latest updates. I have been writing Maths for different functions and now would like to write a Math for Coasting. The goal is to chart when I am off the throttle from 5% down to 0% and NOT on the brakes above a certain %.
First, can a Math like this be written with i2 Standard? If so can someone help me with the steps and formula?
Thanks for all and any help provided.
Brinkly,
What exactly are you hoping to get numbers on in terms of coasting?
I am doing the same so I can help with the math.
Also got the details on the PID - but am in the process of redoing a loom.
I would really like to transition to this inside the data logger itself after I get it running in i2 as a post-processing maths function.
What data do you have? You will need:
1) Speed, and if you are on a non-flat surface then position including altitude, a pitch gyro may also be useful.
2) Mass of the vehicle
3) Some way of identifying the coasting (neutral would work - or the 0%-throttle/0%-brake is a good approach. I will likely want to go for a switched input, or see if It can break the data out into a separate file.)
We'll probably be learning in parallel - so...
Where are you located - send me a PM.
