Moving from M800 to M150 with Auto Transmission (A761)

Postby Allan on Sat Jul 18, 2020 5:17 pm

Hi,

Currently running an M800 on a supercharged 1UZ with DBW and a PCS TCM-2000 transmission controller, going to a 3UZ and the A761 6 speed auto I'd like to take the opportunity combine everything into one with an M150 and gain knock control.

Anyone had experience with the A960e, A761e or AB60, apparently all use the similar valve body and same shift solenoid configuration.

Regards,

Allan

Hi Allen,

I have only had a quick look online, but I see the A761 valve body has 9 solenoids in total on the valve body. It appears there are 4 shift solenoids, I'm assuming at least one pressure regulation solenoid and a lock up solenoid.

The GPR AT M150 package has allowances for 4 shift solenoids, 3 pressure regulation solenoids and a torque converter lockup solenoid, so it almost guaranteed that you will be unable to take over the transmission control without a custom firmware package.

The Aisin 8 speed that was done used a dedicated M150 for transmission control.
