Discussion and support for i2 Standard and i2 Pro applications

Driver Analysis | Boxplot

Postby Themen on Thu Dec 17, 2020 6:38 am

Hello! I am kind of new to MoTeC and was thinking about a few things. I want to use the MoTeC software (i2 Pro) to do some analysis between runs of different drivers. For a very global overview I was thinking of using a boxplot since it is very easy to estimate the average pace of a few drivers against each other. Is it possible to create a boxplot in this software?

Furthermore, is there any way of directly accessing the data for the lap times after laps have been generated? I have manually converted these to MATLAB to work on the idea of the implementation but it would of course be a lot easier and faster if this was possible in MoTeC itself.

We don't currently have box plots, I can put it in our system as a feature request.

Other than exporting data from i2 manually for Matlab or to csv the other option is programmatically via the API. If you go to C:\Program Files\MoTeC\i2\1.1\Samples\i2API there are examples in various languages on how to make it work. If you talk to a MoTeC Dealer they can give you details on the licencing.
