Running M142 ECU in a 24V environment

Hello,

is it possible to run the M142 ECU with 24V supply voltage?
Will the voltage regulators inside the ECU lasts this voltage level?
Sensors are supplied by internal 5V/6.3V - so probably not an issue. Same with the low-side outputs as max. voltage is specified with 40/60V here, I think.
Driven DI injectors are of 24V type (inductive). Boost voltage of 90V should be still available with 24V supply, output stage controls current --> so could work anymore, if current level meet the requirements of the injector,

But what's with the full bridge driver to run a DBW unit? Will this work? Is it possible to use a 12V DBW unit?

Hi Klaus,

The M1 ECU's are rated up to 32V, so can be used in a 24V system. The Half Bridges outputs are connected to BattV so you will need a 24V DBW motor. I haven't tested a 12V DBW on a 24V system but I have a feeling that it will not like it.
