PDM30 - High current devices

Postby BevanL84 on Mon Jun 01, 2020 11:38 am

Hi, I have a PDM30 and was wondering what the best way was to wire in hire current devices.

My car has a Bosch Motorsports ABS system, as well as an Electro-Hydraulic power steering pump.
Would the best way to wire in these units be to use a high current relay, such as the Bosch/Tyco units:

and the PDM just triggers the signal to turn it on?

Hi,

Unless you want to use up a lot of the 20A outputs by joining them together, then the best option is to have the PDM controlling an external high current relay. This then still lets you use some of the control functionality of the PDM, without using half the 20A outputs to drive a single device.

Thanks for confirmation Stephen :)
