Is maximum lambda reported by LTC equal to 10.0?

Is maximum lambda reported by LTC equal to 10.0?

Postby srivsaga on Mon Feb 10, 2020 9:29 pm

Hi,

I have connected Bosch LSU 4.9 to the M1 ECU via LTC. I have not been able to start the engine yet due to unavailability of calibration data for injector and ignition coil. I have ordered those with data already present in the M1 software.
The free air value of Lambda always stays at 10.0, which is not quite right. I have a separate lambda conditioning module from ETAS, ETAS635.1, which shows the accurate reading of about 16.5 in free air (its lambda range is quite large, upto 32.0). The sensor is newly bought, so there is no possibility of any calibration issues with it.
Is 10.0 the maximum value of lambda, that can be reported by the LTC? It may be possible that once I run the engine and the lambda value comes under 1.5 or something, then it reports correctly?
I just want to be confirm that it's just an issue with the range of the LTC, not the sensor itself.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks & regards,

Hi,

The upper range of the LTC with the Bosch LSU Sensor is Lambda 10, the calibrated range of the LSU 4.9 from Bosch is 0.65 to 10 as well, so the LTC covers the range of Lambda values that the Bosch Calibration for the sensors is for.

Hi,

I think the range of LSU4.9 is from 0.65 to infinity (theoretically), as mentioned in the Bosch catalog. Anyways, it solved my question. Thanks for a prompt reply.

The Bosch data sheet does show that, but the calibration for the Lambda Controller ranges from 0.65 to 10.
