1kd hilux kit Start files

Postby jwickman on Tue Dec 17, 2019 8:47 am

Hi all,

After watching the webinar for the 1KD kit i have found some descrepency between the V3 and V4 start files for the M150. The V3 appears to have all the same tables that Pete talks about in his video but when i migrate the package to the V4 allot of the tables and settings are removed. Shout i be using V4 or the V3 start file.

Cheers

John.

Hi John,

While I'm not up to speed with the diesel stuff, I believe you would be better off starting with the later package.

If theres something you cannot find for it, I would suggest initially going to "All Calibrate" and finding it in there under the header you would believe is associated. Like Boost aim, currently doesnt seem to be shown in the V9 start file for M150 1KD, however boost>aim>main table is showing in all calibrate.

Further to this, you can go to layout > layout editor, then unlock the open packages layout and edit in the missing tables by using the copy function, throwing it into your own workbook/worksheet, adding whats needed and copying it back then 'locking' the edited workbook.

Hi

Thanks for the reply,

Where did you find the V9 version as far as i can tell the latest version on the website is V4, Im still in the learning process with the M1 tune software. but the solution sounds easy enough.

Cheers

Hi John,

V9 was here - https://moteconline.motec.com.au/Packag ... kageId=828

assuming that is the model of ECU and package you are looking at using / learning!

Hi All,

To Migrate data between Packages, the Compare and Migrate Data functions are a more practical way of doing this. This is done by opening the Package that you want to migrate the data into, and then adding the second Package using the File | Add Compare Package... menu option. This will have both Packages open in M1 Tune, with the migrate from Package open in the right hand side window. Then goto Tools | Migrate Data... this opens the migrate data window that compares the two packages and allows for the data to be copied across from the right hand side to the left, copy what is needed and then close and save the Package.

Thanks for the reply,

When i try and migrate the data from the V4 package into the V3 all i get is errors. I tried this both ways V3 into V4 and i get all the same errors.

It may just be that i dont know enough about this yet to make the correct changes. The V3 and V4 file are so different as far as i can tell.

Cheers
