Scatter plot help

Postby casaroli on Fri Aug 09, 2019 8:21 pm

Hi All,
I am working with I2 pro in National Championship from this year. I always used 2D data analysis software but I like this new one a lot and I think it is a very good software!

There are only two little things that I can't do.

- I'd like to have xy subdivisions in a scatter plot like image in attachment to export average range values
- I'd like to create a scatter plot with the single lap values only and a scatter plot for all session (Is the gating function the only solution?)

Thank you for helping!!!!

Simo

1. You can select 'X axis interval average' in the scatter plot setup, select the interval width you want the average over and it will plot the values on the graph. If you right click on the graph there is the option to copy the average values to the clipboard.
2. The easiest way to do this is to is to drag a worksheet out and have 2 side by side, one showing a single lap and the other the whole outing. The way to do this is to create a new worksheet that will be your second scatter plot. While holding 'CTRL' click and drag the worksheet tab and select where you want it to be positioned. Now right click on the tab and click 'Select Worksheet Data Set'. Select 'Outings' from the list. Copy and paste your existing scatter plot to this worksheet and it will now show you the entire outing while the first scatter plot will show you the selected lap.

Ok thank you.
I tried to select "X axis interval average" but I can export only the overall average values of X breakpoints. I am interested in the more complete export in X-Y breackpoints like a grid.

Sorry I'm not really sure what you are trying to do. Can you give me an example of some data you would have in the scatter plot and what you want to export.

I would like to have similar subdivision of scatter plot to export average range values.
In attachment you can see the mixture factor control examples with different softwares.

Ok so you essentially want to be able to select a 3rd channel and then get an average of that channel based on X-Y groups and then export those values.

The scatter plot doesn't currently have this functionality, I have added a feature request into our system for it.
