Overlay from Rolling Minimum and Eclectic

Postby elrod on Wed Apr 17, 2019 3:23 am

It would be hugely helpful if i2 could provide an overlay from the rolling minimum and the eclectic laps. The sector report allows you to manually go find them but the software should stitch it all together and make it easy to compare against.

I looked at exporting CSVs and writing a script to create a virtual lap that could be re-imported but unfortunately i2 does not support re-importing a CSV which seems weird. Is there some other way this could be done?

I have added a feature request into our system to allow the rolling minimum to be used as an overlay. Using the eclectic won't be possible because it isn't continuous data.

i2 Pro can import CSV files, you just need to pay for a licence.

If I were to write a program to pull the sectors from the eclectic and combine them into a CSV and import them as a lap what would keep the data from displaying correctly? Would the time data need to be faked to make it look continuous or is there some other data field that is required?

Yes you could do something like that. You would have to fake the time and distance data to make it work.

What are you actually trying to do? Obviously it isn't possible to drive a lap represented by the eclectic times because your speed/time through 1 section affects the next.
