Low Side injectors M130 ECU

Greetings all. We're part way through a new build of a gravel rallycar, and at the ECU wiring stage. It was supplied with pre-wired connectors, and while tracing out the various leads (while referencing the pinout chart) I may have stumbled over a small "issue".

We're staying with an unmodified engine at this stage, along with the OEM high-impedance injectors. And that may be the problem - 6 injectors and as far as I can see the M130 only has 2 low side injector outputs.

Apart from ;
a) buy 6 low-imp injectors to suit OR
b) tell the customer he should have bought an M142

do I have an option c) reconfigure the injector channels on the M130?

Software and data would seem poorly laid out and worded, as you can configure high impedance/saturated within the software.

So you are not just limited to P&H which are in the minority these days.

Hi,

You can run up to 8 Peak Hold injectors with an M130. You can run more than 8 Saturated injectors as well.

The M142 is a Direct Injected ECU, the upscale from an M130 is the M150.

That page does indicate it, but other lists and instructions dont actually make it clear that high impedance injectors are covered, because it mainly states for P&H injectors.

So it's easy to understand the OP's questioning.

Hi,

A high impendance or saturated injector (>12ohm) is easier for the ECU to drive as it has a lower current load compared to a low impedance (peak & hold) injector, this means that if an output is capable of driving a P&H injector, then it is also going to be able to drive a saturated injector. A Low Side Injector output is not able to drive a P&H injector however, as its current capacity is too low.

I'll have a word with the developers about getting the help clarified.
