RG-TC8 set up

Postby RickD on Fri Oct 26, 2018 11:11 am

I have just installed a RG-TC8 on my M880. If the TC8 is connected to my system I have some sort of back feed or set up problems. I have multiple erratic signals, DBW is unstable, erratic MAP signals etc. If I unplug the RG-TC8 the issues are gone. Would the CAN set up cause these issues? Is there spec sheet for install for the M880?
My set up is - M880
E816 on CAN bus
AIM MXG dash on CAN bus
Thank you

How do you have the TC8 configured? Some of the transmit modes mimic the MoTeC E8xx expanders and if you have an E816 on the bus and haven't changed the TC8 transmit then that will cause you some issues.

If you unplug the E816 and then plug the TC8 in does everything work ok?

The TC8 documentation (attached) details how to change the CAN ID. You can send your TC-8 to MoTeC USA in North Carolina to have them update it for you if necessary.
