WRX 910 retrotfit 2005 AUS Sti Ej207

Hi guys,

I'm looking to fit a wrx 910 PnP module (13003-10260) to run a Australian 2005 Sti Ej207. It is going into a dedicated racecar, so the wiring harness will be custom made to suit.

WRX 910 has FBW and the AVCs on the exhaust side that is not fitted to my motor. Apart from these two differences, I ther anything else on the board that will stop me from fitting this onto my engine?

I have the wiring diagrams for both the WRX 910 PnP module, and also the WRX 78 PnP module. between these two I should be able to make a custom harness. There are a few description differences between the pins on both boards that i will need to research.

* Is there anything I havent thought of that will stop me from doing this?

* Can anyone tell me if there has been any options added to this board?

Hi Al,

That ECU has DBW and Cam Control enabled.

I would retain the DBW functionality with the 207, rather than trying to get the IAC valve working using an ECU that isn't designed for it.

Thanks for the feedback mate, I appreciate it.
I never even thought about converting the 207 to DBW, so glad I asked the question now!

Thanks for info on what been anabled, that also confirms what i had been told previously.

One more question if I can be so bold.
Will the 910 board match and run a Motec SDC2?

In the meantime I will continue to design my new engine harness.

Hi Al,

You can use the SDC2 with this ECU.

The ECU above has been sold from under my feet, but I have potentially found another one. Are you able to tell me if anything has been enabled on it?

If you are still reading this thread, I have accomplished a somewhat similar project using a WRX910 board, SDC2, and USDM 2006 STI wiring with a USDM 2006 EJ257. I have allocated extra I/O on my engine loom to allow a dual AVCS EJ207 motor to be dropped in at a later time (I have re-purposed the wires used for TGV control/sensing as I am using the non-TGV intake manifold).

This is NOT a small project, but it can be accomplished with a patch loom and a carefully selected OEM body/engine loom. A full custom harness is also possible but you need to carefully consider how many OEM body electrics you will retain and how to make them work (things like HVAC control started to become complex in the mid-2000 models). Subaru factory manuals are quite poor when it comes to accuracy of describing grounds, etc. The information is often there... but frequently incorrect.

As stated above, I would also highly suggest using a DBW throttle on the EJ207, however you WILL have some concerns regarding the cam sensor being the older style on this single AVCS EJ207. A dual AVCS EJ207 would be a more drop-in affair.
