M4 for K20 Type R, yes or no.

Can the M4 serial no.10002-07717 run the I Vetec system on my K20 Honda Type R, or do i have the wrong ECU.

Hi John,

It is possible, but I would not recommend using an M4 for this engine.

A more suitable choice would be either the M84 or an M130, as these are more recently developed ECU's.

Switched VTec Yes, Continuously variable no.
