Setting Up Automatic Engine Kill

Hello,

I'm wondering how to set up an automatic engine kill based on coolant temperature. Ideally setting this up around 220 degrees Fahrenheit. Is there a way to do this? Ideally killing ignition.

I see the warning mode coolant temperature warning setting(does this correspond with the coolant temperature warning maximum and minimum values?) and I'm not sure if this will just pop up as a warning on the screen or how it works. Thanks!

Hi,

If you use the Coolant Temperature Engine Speed Limit and set an engine speed limit of 1 for the temperature that you want the engine to be shutdown at, this will stop the engine.

So Coolant Temperature Engine Speed Limit will reference the Coolant Temperature Warning Maximum for when to activate?

No,

The warnings are separate to this, You setup a table with the Engine Coolant Temp as the scale, and you can then gradually reduce the speed limit as the engine gets hotter, until it gets to a point that the limit stalls the engine.

You can also use the Coolant Temperature Warning Maximum for this, but it is not as gradual in its activation.
