PDM CANBUS Protocol information

Postby f1racr on Tue Jan 09, 2018 6:06 pm

Hi there,

I am looking for a datasheet / protocol sheet for the CANBUS for the PDM. I have a PDM30 and PDM15 in my car and I'd like to get all my other CANBUS devices talking to it, but can't find a CANBUS datasheet for it....... is it closed ??

I want to trigger some PDM channels from other devices and also read PDM info from other devices .....

Any help is much appreciated.

The manual has information on configuring CAN input and the standard output messages.

The PDM user manual is available from here:
http://www.motec.com.au/downloads/downloadmanuals/

You will need the PDM Manager software and a UTC to connect. The software is available here:

There is also a webinar on CAN messaging in the PDM:

This document relates more to M1 and PDM communications, but the underlying information is usable through other devices.
