M84 serial communication

Postby acca on Mon Jan 08, 2018 10:45 pm

Hello,
I have upgraded my ECU from Motec M4 to M84

On my old config, i used Serial port in order to display engine informations, i 'd like to know if this is possible with M84 ?
I tried to use HyperTerminal on Windows with 19200bps 8N1 but Nothing is shown.

Is there any condition to be satisfied in order M84 sends informations throught Serial ?

Thanks

I was not able to communicate with the M84 through RS232. Only through the UTC connector and USB. THe RS232 is for gauge communication I think.

You are correct, the serial is only used to send information to old devices that aren't able to read CAN.

The UTC is needed for PC communication.
