I am changing from an M48 to an M400. In order to minimise the retuning necessary, what injector battery comp values should I use to give the best equivalence?
The injectors are high impedance Denso 23250-66010, apparently equivalent to Toyota 23209-66010 and original equipment in the 1FZ-FE engine.
The M48 was tuned with injector battery comp setting “2”. According to the help in the EMP software this is suitable for Bosch 403 (2 Ω), Bosch M/sport 910 (2,4 Ω) and 911 (3 Ω), so not necessarily correct for my injectors but that's how it was tuned and it's not causing any apparent problems.
The M400 of course needs table values. What will give the best equivalence to setting “2” in the M48? I notice that the M400 software includes the file “Injector Bat Comp Bosch 911 300kPa” so I could load in that table (300 kPa is fairly close to my fuel pressure). Has anyone got a better suggestion?
