Help with lap time display

Postby 95wagon on Sat Aug 12, 2017 7:13 am

Would someone be willing to look at a log and a dash configuration and see if there is some fundamental mistake I am missing ?
I have a different car that will display lap times on the dash as it goes over the start finish , but I am missing something on the setup with this one.

Both have ADL2 and same GPS units ,
same detection radius, same coordinates ,

There may be an issue with "user conditions" I am missing with the car that does not display lap times on dash

Any help would be very much appreciated.

If you emailed me at wcharles(AT)shaw(DOT)ca I could send the config file and log

Thanks, Gerry

Hi Gerry,

If you email the files through to support @ motec.com.au we can have a look at them.

Thank you Gin.

"Ultimately, the problem is that "Ground Speed" is a virtual channel that must be generated as a scalar of physical sensor readings. The configuration has "Ground Speed" being generated by itself, which ends up as a constant zero value"

Channel #121 ground speed had been changed to Vehicle speed and there was no ground speed channel being generated , which I am told the ADL2 needs for lap time .
Haven't tested it yet but what I am being told makes sense
Fingers crossed
