i2 std offset oddities

Postby Scott@FP on Sun Nov 30, 2008 12:11 am

Issue is present in both 1.02 and 1.03

Load a main and an overlay log in engine project, say a drag run. Set the main and overlay offset to start at say gnd speed 1 km.

a) When an offset is applied to either a main or overlay, the current zoom goes goofy and you have to start over to get to your current zoom view. Cursor disappears to lala land.

b) When you try to unapply the offset to the main, it will not let go- neither 'zero all offsets' or 'horizontal zoom full out', you can only see what was on the right side of the offset until you close the log file and reopen.

An option to make the offset the current cursor position would be handy, instead of having to type in a time or distance. Also we set offset times by looking at the bottom time line, which is displayed in minutes.seconds.thousands of seconds, yet when setting the offset thru the offset menu, we have to convert minutes into whole seconds, this is annoying.

Sorry for the delay and thank you for your message.

We have been unable to replicate the issue you are having with the offset feature in i2 standard.

Would you be able to e-mail me the specific log files that you are having trouble with as well as details of the exact i2 standard software versions you have been trying? Also details about the computer and OS would be helpful.

Furthermore, thank you for your suggestions, they have been noted by the Engineering Department.

Sorry about the delay, but didn't see this till now.

Three different computers, all on XP Pro SP2.

I can give some more info- this ONLY happens when you have more than one log file visible on the data tab.
