Log wastegate duty cycle

Postby bloit on Sat Jun 10, 2017 10:51 am

Hi. I'm having difficulties logging the wastegate duty cycle. I currently have one of the i/o inputs connected to the input side of the wastegate solinoid (the wire fro the boost controller). I have the setting set to pulse width, with the calibration set at 0ms = 0% and 50ms = 100%. However the value is always 3600% on the display. What am I doing wrong.

The frequency of the controller is 20hz.

I did something similar once -- we connected to an injector driven from a factory ECU to determine fuel consumption. I was using a SPD input on a C125, and here is the calibration I ended up with (see attached screen shot). The key to getting it working correctly was setting the timeout and handling the case of 100%/0% Duty Cycle. Perhaps something like this would work for you, then you could use a table to convert pulse width to duty cycle %
