Injector flow characterisation

Postby Blu302 on Sat May 06, 2017 5:39 pm

Is there a way to put the injector flow data in a M800 like what is in the M1 series?

I.e. knee point and flow change with respect to injector open time.

I am going to need bigger injectors with my next build and I want to use Injector Dynamics ID750 injectors.
The engine is a BMW M54B30 (3.0L straight 6) and I know that with idle, I will be in/around the non-linear region.
Can this be accounted for within the ECU(M800) so that lambda control etc will be smooth and predictable?

Hi,

Due to the differences between the Mx00 and M1's fuel control, the Mx00 ECU's do need need as detailed information to give an ideal lambda trace. They do need to have the dead times for the injector, which is the information that we provide, but once that information is in the Mx00, then the tuning of the fuel map itself manages the non linear regions.
