If you aren't using Display Creator, then you configure the video using the "Options..." button on the Display Setup dialog window.

I believe the Video Source needs to be non-zero to replace the display with the video image. On displays with more than one input, the Video Source selects which video source is used.

No, if you are using Display Creator then you don't have to set anything up for video input in Dash Manager.

What sort of camera do you have and how is it wired?

With Display Creator -- Did you create a video camera object on the page? Can the page be selected? I used the page condition " Gear == R" to activate the page when Reverse is selected.

Hi David
It is wired to pin 29 on the dash and power comes from a pdm which is aways on. We actually looking to have the camera always on.

It is a little bit hard to tell from just a screenshot, but from what I can see that should just work. What sort of camera are you using? Is it sending out a composite video signal?

Its a Vision bullet camera, just a normal video input. Im starting to think that the C187 dash doesn't support it because its a pre version before they came out with dedicated video input :?:

By normal video input do you mean composite video? ie Pal or NTSC. Vision make a large range of cameras with various outputs.

Any C18x Dash that was built pre-USB has the hardware on the board for video input but as it wasn't a usable option at the time no production testing was done on that particular part of the hardware. As such there is no guarantee that video will work in any pre-USB C18x Dash, however I haven't come across one that didn't work yet.

Pre-USB C12x Dashes will definitely not work with video input.

Have you tried using Video inputs 2 or 3?

Yes it a Pal camera, the dash has USB input so it should support video. I updated the firmware on the dash as well. Going to try and change the wiring to video input 2. and see what happens.
