CAN comms from PDM to M880

In my application, I have a water/meth system which has a float switch to warn of low fliud levels. The pump is powered by PDM30 and the float switch is connected to a PDm input. I have an M880 and have CAN comms between ECU and PDM. All good!!

Plan is to have various maps but essentially one WITH water meth active and one map for operation WITHOUT water/meth. On activation of the float switch in the W/M tank i.e. empty, I want the PDM to output the switch state to the ECU and have it switch maps automatically.

Is this possible??

I've watched CAN comms webinar etc without success and cannot get any confirmation that PDM-->ECU CAN comms is possible.

You won't be able to switch maps using the Multi Config setup via CAN from your PDM but you can send the switch status across to the M880 which can be used as a digital input. This may allow you to achieve the changes in tune you need to apply when the fluid runs out.
