Desperate for help IACV

Postby andyh on Tue Jan 10, 2017 12:33 am

I have tried to find further help / details on the IACV but no one is answering.
I have a 4 wire GM as per V15. All settings are as per the drawing, the wiring is correct as per drawing and yet the IACV does not move in the test setting or vehicle live (i have not had it running yet) as im reluctant to start a fully rebuilt engine until i can guarantee its as well set up as it can be, the last thing i need is high RPM on first crank.

So what are the common issues as it seems a lot of people have problems with the Motec and stepper motors.

Why don't you just disconnect the IACV and make sure it's in the most closed position. Then the throttle will be the only source of air, so the engine shouldn't get away from you on the first crank.

I have had similar issues,
I believe the ecu requires an RPM Signal for the function to operate.
