Setup to work with OEM Switches

Hi

How would you setup the Dash Display LEDs to work as indicators with the OEM stalk?
How do you wire in the Fuel Sender ? Can you use the OEM or would you need an after market sensor?

I would probably use two digital inputs tied to the light circuits. Use the state of those inputs to control two of the patterns found in Functions->Shiftlight Module.

Carlol, funny you posted this. I have been wanting to do this for a few weeks.
I am working on a way to do his using only one input on the C125 as opposed to 2 or 3. Those inputs are valuable !!

I currently have one of those warning lights function as a low fuel light (similar to the stock cluster).

Some info on how I achieved this. As pointed out, the inputs on the c125/127 are pretty valuable. Instead of using the I/O inputs, I purchased an analogue to canbus conveter from gaugeart. This allows 6 additional analogue inputs plus 2 temp inputs. It's configurable for rate. I set it at 500kb and used 2 channels for indicators by creating a path to ground on the gaugeart inputs. Then created a led light that comes on with the indicators. The flasher works like normal and the led (left and right) flash perfectly.

I will have to look into that, I would not mind a few more inputs to play with. I assume you just set it up as a custom receive message set in the communications tab?

Correct. There is 8 Channels total, each with 2 Byte format. So you setup 2 Canbus Id's in the communication's menu.

The unit has multiple switches internally where you can configure the rate along, 11bit or 29 bit formatting, along with one of 8 canbus ids. This means that you could run up to 4 units around the vehicle and then 32 additional inputs.

Configuration was easy. I used a small relay board to provide a path to ground input based on a 12v trigger for the indicators, dimmer/instrument lights and even connected my radar detector - so it flashes an alarm on the dash

I went and had a look on their website.

It is probably more useful for a friend of mine than for me in fact. He has a dash without the I/O option enabled and his ECU is an M84 so reasonably locked down, a few extra analog inputs would be handy for him to log brake pressures and a few other things.

In my case I will run short on inputs for the likes of diff and gear oil temperatures.

Yes,

You use the CAN message as the activate for the Shift lights.
