That is one of the products Adrian mentioned. It has it's own software for sniffing the CAN bus.

Sure would be handy if MoTeC would complete/release the software that allowed the dash firmware to act as a CAN bridge for the CAN Inspector software.

It is coming, hopefully before the end of the year.

The PCAN device is a good reasonably priced analyser. You can also use it with Busmaster software which is much more powerful than the free software provided with the PCAN device. Busmaster is open source software you can download for free.

One thing to note is that if you use MoTeC CAN Inspector with one of our devices, you can only log the messages and then analyse the data afterwards. It doesn't allow live viewing of the messages. All of those other devices I have listed allow live viewing which might be a bit more useful for the type thing you want to do with it.
