David,
If you were answering my question, I have been trying to do this just in Dash Manager, not in Display creator. I was trying to figure out if I could display R instead of 7 without having to pay for the creator licence, as this is my only current issue with the standard templates.

George,

Below is a table of the input values and the displayed values for the gear channel in a standard display setup (ie not using display creator).

You will need to use a 2D table to convert the values you are receiving on CAN to the values needed by the dash to display what you want.
