Duplicating inputs

Postby FoxSTI on Wed Jul 27, 2016 2:29 pm

I wan configuring some inputs on my dash and I notice you can duplicate inputs.

This is from the help file. What is the purpose of duplicating a channel. Can someone please give me a real world example?

"Duplicate and Delete buttons on the Input Pins tab
There is support for multiple channel assignments and/or calibrations for the same pin number.
Select the pin and click the Duplicate button to create another version of the selected pin (any number of duplicates can be created)."

PS: are the output signals a digital 5+ hi-Low?

Thank you

I could image a steering sensor where you calibrated as "Steering Wheel Angle" as well as "Steered Angle" (the amount the outside wheel is turned).
