GPS antenna location

Postby DJDINO on Fri Jan 01, 2016 1:59 pm

About to mount the GPS antenna in the race car and assume the centre of the roof is the ideal location ? I was going to drill a hole in the centre of the roof and run the wire through a grommet. Is the centre of the roof (centre of car front to back) ideal ?

As long as it is more the 10cm from the edge, stick it wherever is convenient.

It is to ensure a good area for the ground plane of the antenna, this increases the efficiency of the antenna.
