Controlling fuel pumps with M800 and DHB

Postby DJDINO on Mon Apr 27, 2015 6:03 pm

I have a M800 PNP and want to control 2 Deatschworks D350 pumps on an external surge tank, I'd like to run one slower at idle and then bring in the 2nd pump at a certain RPM, would this be possible with the Motec DHB ?

DHB has a total current of 20A, your pumps draw a minimum 11A each.

Thanks Steve, yes did read those specs afterwards. Would it be possible to control one pump (2nd pump) with the DHB or is it easier to just switch a relay via the ecu ? Not that keen on having 2 pumps running flat out all the time.

I've been running a pair of 044's on mine for over 10 years.

Never a problem, and it keeps things simple.

I keep saying I'll get around to some PWM control for them....just never bother trying lol.

I will if I add a 3rd pump though
