Datalogging and Security settings

Postby Bjorck on Sat Feb 14, 2015 6:43 am

I have an M150 with Level 2 logging.

I want to use all channels and remove some of those default channels. But it says they cant be removed due to security settings.
I have been trying to edit the Data logging system security groups with no success.

How can i do? or where can i read more about this to edit logged channels or edit logging security groups.

I think this may depend on the package you are using. Are you using GPA, GPR, or something else?

Maybe I'm missing something.

I've opened an M150 GPR package in M1 Tune, and use the menu Tools->Edit Data Logging...

Starting with the Normal tab, I click the clear button and that removes all the pre-configured channels. I then set the condition (Logging Request is active), then I can select the channels I want, and specify when they should be scheduled to be logged (highlight the frequency in the right-side list) and when I click the right-facing arrow in the middle the channels are added to the logging list.

When are you receiving the error message -- when you try to send your package to the ECU?

If the Items in the normal tab (Log System 1) are required to be there by the GPR Package license, then perhaps you should just put your logging in the into one of the other logging systems you should be able to log all of your channels there. Then your log won't have any of the default channels, but will have all of your channels.
