ideling

Okej new problems

The car runs now but I can not get it to run at idle very good. It is located at about 1100 rpm with a lambda value (narrow-band) from 0.8 to 0.84 and dutec cycle stands at 1% w pulse 1.3 msec then I changed from 4 to 3 bar btr.Injecton trim set -40 and injp 7th This is a turbo car with 788 cc injectors.

What am I doing wrong?

Regards
Andreas

What engine, compression, throttle arrangement, Idle control valve, sequential injection?

Is your CrIP correct

You say Narrow Band Lambda? This is not best for assessing Lambda other than Lambda=1.00.

Try Lambda=1.00, then add 5-10% fuel
Try Idle ignition advance of 0-5deg

The car is an Alfa romeo 75 turbo 7.5 in compression is 1.8 liter sequential injection, waste spark 788cc 3145 Siemens deca injectors no idling engine.
No I know that narrow band is not so good but that's all I had and I will bust a broad band in the morning. Crip set alfa romeos work shop manual.

What I am wondering can deadtime set to it.I have put the 780usec but I read around so people have set it at around 300usec and lower.

The igniton is 10 degres at 1100 rpm

You need to check the CrIP with a timing light!

Your injectors may be too large to get accurate fuel at low InjPW.

Narrow band Lambda will be reasonably accurate at LA 1.00. Adjust fuel to LA 1.00 and retard ign to close to 0deg.

I would never want to run idle timing near zero, more typically in the 10-20deg range.

TBH really wouldnt worry too much about injector dead times, everyone tuned without them for years with no problems and if battery voltage is table, it will be a single figure used anyway. But yes it would be nice if you had the correct information

Is injector current set correctly ? ie for high or low impedance injectors ?

Injector timing sensible ?

Ignition timing confirmed as accurate ?

And what is the problem with idle ? unstable ? too high ? it stalls ? are you trying to use some form of idle control ?

And bin the narrowband ( even more so if it isnt a heated sensor ), get a wideband.

And make sure any closed loop functions are turned off until you have some sort of sensible base setup working.

Injector timing sensible ? How do i se this?

Ignition timing confirmed as accurate ? Hard to do when the engine does run on ideling very nice.

The problem is that i have an ideling about 1100 rpm and it thosent go very nice there. If i rev it it goes lile a dream.

do you want me to take a picture of my settings?
