GPA/GPR Package Manual

Discussion and Support for MoTeC's M1 series ECUs

The CAN OUTPUT from the M1 series with GPA/GPR package needs further clarification. This would be especially useful for setting up a PDM, where you need to manually configure each CAN channel to be received from an M1.

If you are fortunate enough to have access to a GPR Project in M1 build, you can sniff around in there....but for everyone else it would be helpful if this was included in the documentation.

If I've missed it, could someone please point to where this info can be found outside of M1 Build?

Thanks for this idea which we were happy to pick up. We just released an updated version of the GPA/GPR packages where (amongst other changes) the PDM message list is added into the documentation (on ECU Transmit).
The other CAN messages match the dash template that comes with each Dash Manager (also about to be updated). Also a Vector Database is available from MoTeC on request.

There was another question here concerning the input source for Boost Pressure. If Boost Pressure Sensor is operational, this source is used. Otherwise Inlet Manifold Pressure is used as a fall back. In both cases Ambient Pressure is subtracted to determine Boost Pressure.
Unfortunately this information did not make it into the documentation of the current GPA/GPR release but will be in the next one.

As for a general GPA/GPR package manual there are no specific plans for that at the moment, but we keep the included documentation comprehensive and up to date. In addition, I would like to refer to the growing number of webinars on our website. Also our normal support and this forum can be used for upcoming questions.

Hermann

Thank you Hermann for the detailed reply.

My project utilizes an M150, C125, E888, PDM15, Keypad, LTC, a PCS transmission controller, and integrates OEM CAN messages into the control strategy. I find the provided MoTeC documentation, and support to be class-leading.

I consider this topic closed.

Documentation added to Projects via "Notes", and help menus, answer the questions I've previously brought up.

Well done Motec!
