PT1000 Temperature Sensors

Postby incontrolsteve on Fri Apr 04, 2014 6:23 pm

I am using a lot of Kulite pressure sensors which are equipped with a PT1000 temperature probe for dual pressure and temp measurement. Is there a method to interface a PT1000 temperature sensor to an M1 temperature or voltage input that will provide accurate temperature measurement from a PT1000?

Thanks

Sounds like a 1000 ohm RTD, in which case it is 1000 ohms at 0C and a straight linear resistance to temp curve. Setup is similar to a thermistor, 5v pullup on input pin, 0v and measure returned voltage, should be able to wire into an AT circuit that has an internal pullup. On an RTD resistance goes up with temp like a PTC thermistor.

Resistance to temp curve should look like this-
