odb1 to CDL3?

I've just completed a Spec Boxster Build of a 1997 Porsche Boxster which has the ME 5.2.2, Bosch ABS 5.3 and therefore no CAN.

I've been using my CDL3 in my 2002 Boxster since it has CAN @ ABS, but obviously I want it in my Race Car. My Problem now is ...... What are my options?

Can I connect to the ODB1/2 port and convert it to RS232? Can I buy an adapter to convert the ODB1/2 into Can BUS Protocol? (I'm not sure if this is ODB1 or ODB2)

Hoping someone can point me in the correct direction.
