Setting up M130 on Yamaha FZR

Postby Kroozer on Mon Nov 11, 2013 11:09 pm

Hi, Need Help

Q1. How do I hookup the 5Hz GPS from my M400 to the new M130? :ugeek:

Q2. What input should I use for the 9 position switch? I have tried several inputs and created a table for the varying voltage levels and have fount that they have been rounded up to the nearest decimal place e.g. "2.4volts instead of 2.365volts".

Q3. What input should I use for launch control and do i need a pull up resistor?

Any help and comments welcome

You should read the information on the FZR

"• GPS receive configurable via CAN through MoTeC Serial-to-CAN (STC) device for speed and track mapping"

With the M400 the GPS plugged straight in. No additional wiring or costs.

So now I have to buy some more bits. I hope it works on the 5Hz GPS

Unless one needs the RS232 for something else, which was me.
Then you use the STC for the GPS and the port for the other device.

it worked for the 10Hz GPS, you could contact MoTeC if you are not sure...

Thanks Holmz,

I only need the GPS. It's a shame that it cannot be plugged into a spare digital input and read the RS232 protcol after all it's only a square wave. One of the dealers I purchased it from is unsure and also awaiting a response. :?

The STC is on it's way will know soon.

Q2. What input should I use for launch control and do i need a pull up resistor?

Q1. Just press Q, it will take the further decimals into account. You can also type numbers with more decimals, even if you cant see them they will go into the ECU.

Q2. UDIG input. No, they have software selectable pullups.
