Crank index position Porsche 993

Postby Maikauto1974 on Wed Jan 11, 2012 5:13 pm

Hi,

I have one question about the CRIP.
Does anyone know the value (degree) of CRIP for a Porsche 993 engine with standard flywheel or a Tilton racing flywheel.
I think its 84° before TDC, is this correct?

Thanks

BR

Piggy backing on this thread as the topic is close enough...

Is there a specific trigger mode for a Porsche 993 Twin turbo ?
WOuld it be better to go generic mode 7 ?

I understand i can run the stock Hall in the distributor as well, the signal seems to be clean enough.

Any comments ? am i missing anything ?

Cheerios !

I looked at four of my files and all were 85 +/- .5 for all of them. Two were factory flywheels and two were JB Racing flywheels.

Hope this helps.
