DBW Wiring

Postby Denali on Sun Apr 21, 2013 11:03 pm

wondering about how to wire the output from Aux1 and Aux2. the help says that Aux1 is the DBW control and Aux2 is used for idle control, my question is... is Aux2 basically disabled and internally the ecu is using the power from that output? or do i wire Aux1 and Aux2 together then to the negative of the DBW's motor? or some other way?

As far as I know, you cannot run DBW directly off a Mx00

You will need an external controller for the DBW unit.

Do you have this ?

stevieturbo is not correct. You can run a single throttle body motor with no additional controllers, DBW4 is for multiple TB's, or in cases where you need to free up inputs. DBW will take up 4 AV's for the TPS sensors in the TB and the pedal.

Aux 1 and Aux 2 are motor + and motor - (TB specific about which goes where), if you want to use Idle Control you just enable it on Aux2.

Wasnt aware of that.

Didnt think there would have been enough spare inputs for the ecu to do it all on it's own.

Warning!
It is not possible to change AUX1/AUX2 polarity to reverse direction via output polarity setting.

AUX1 -->> NEGATIVE (-) side of motor
AUX2 -->> POSITIVE (+)
