Cylinder numbering and channel mapping/alias

Does the internal Engine Log also require Channel Mapping or Aliasing to correct cylinder numbers?

Example- Tried adjusting Knock Offset, the i2 logs showed the incorrect cylinder numbers having had the offset applied.
My understanding is that ECU Manager lists the cylinder numbers correctly, but they are spit out in logs and labelled by firing sequence in i2, not firing order. I'm assuming this applies to ALL items listed by cylinder number.
