Crank sensor

Postby lawnmower on Wed Nov 14, 2012 5:51 am

Hi all. I am looking for some help with a crank sensor. I have used GT101's before but this time I need something smaller because space is so tight. I e-mailed Mark Mccoy with this link http://sensing.honeywell.com/honeywell- ... -guide.pdf and asked if the LCZ series on page 12 would be suitable. He said it would work but had no idea if they are reliable because he has not used one.

Is anyone out there in Motec land using a small hall effect crank trigger that might fit my needs? It needs to be around 10mm diameter and 50-75mm long.

All help is appreciated.

That looks pretty cool, it maybe a little to short. I will build the motor next week then I can measure it up.

Anyone else?

Crank sensor from a Honda K20A is quite compact and it is very reliable.

Are you able to post a link of where I might get one of these. Would like to see what they are like but I cannot find one the net anywhere.

Thanks.
