Problems with IEX

Postby Mike@ADS on Tue Oct 14, 2008 2:16 am

I have a customer with an LS2 motor and M48 ECU with an IEX on it. The rail ran just fine last season, but now that we try to fire it up, there is no fire! The ECU is getting an RPM signal as well as sending out a good square wave to the IEX box (on my scope). The IEX has a good power and ground (using a test light), but does not output any signals on any of the 8 channels. Is there anything else I am missing, or is this a bad unit?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Just check the 'ignition type' is set to '100' in the main setup of the ECU. If this is set correctly and you are sure of your wiring, you may have to take your IEX to your Motec dealer to be checked further.
