Common Rail Fuel Pressure Control (PID tuning)

Dear Sir,

For my academic project, I purchased a MoTeC M142 diesel ECU (GPR diesel package). The installation part and wiring loom connection were completed. But I am facing some difficulties in common rail pressure control (PID tuning). Because of poor adjustment of PID parameters, there is hunting in common rail pressure. I made many efforts to sort out but fails to diagnose the real cause. I know fundamental about the PID tuning, how parameters affect the performance.

Package, logged data files are attached in this below.

I request you to help me in sorting out this critical problem. If you have any suggestion, please share.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

What engine are you trying to control with the M142?

Cheers

John.

Hi,

I bought M142 GPR Diesel ECU for my single cylinder diesel engine for my academic project. We have brought our single-cylinder engine to work with common rail, but we cannot keep the pressure in the rail line constant. We are having the same problem. Has a solution been found for this issue? Is there anyone who can help us?
