Discussion on the use of Display creator software for MoTeC Colour displays

Adding a Font

Postby Salasko Racing on Tue Jan 31, 2023 7:00 am

Is there a way to add a font to display creator? I have tried adding it to the windows fonts and it successfully shows up in all my other software but not DC. Any suggestions?

Hi,

What font are you trying to add? I have a few thousand extra fonts loaded into Windows and as far as I can tell they are all visible in DC as well.

I've tried 5 or 6 now but specifically I need futura and josefin sans. I haven't been able to get any font to add into DC though. Anything I add does show up in word.

Can you email those font files through to AU support and I'll test them to see if I can get them to work on my machine.

Hi,

For a Font to work in Display Creator it needs to be a True Type Font, not an Open Type Font. There is a further restriction on the TTF in that they cannot have any security (such as happens with purchased fonts) enabled in the font.
