Rotate graphic using channel input?

I assume, like text that the answer is no but thought I'd ask.
The hope is that can I can create my own .png needle design, then rotate it the same way the needle that's built into the circular gauges work. I'm not a fan of the flat, simple, no drop shadow needles included, they just don't fit my aesthetic and feel out of place for what I'm trying to make.
thoughts?

Try the "New Three Axis" object in the "Pages" toolbar. That allows 3 channels to control the X, Y and Rotation angle of your image.

yeah - this is one we're gonna have to work on together, David. I've been fiddling around for an hour now and don't understand what numbers they're using even do and why it needs 2 channels etc... help doesn't even have a topic...
2 simple ways to accomplish what seems to be a very common thing in a dash - rotating an image based on values:
version 1:
1. create new circular gauge
2. needle tab > values/appearance/fill/select image
3. set center of axis of needle for rotation (image width/height - x,y offset) and (uses angles defined in ticks panel and image width - 50% to center needle)
version 2:
1. place graphic
2. set center of axis of image for rotation (image width/height - x,y offset)
3. define first angle / last angle
4. define channel (engineSpeed) for rotation signal 0-100% based on first/last angle
Look forward to talking this through.
