What display? What Logger?

Your dealer should be able to help with this (that's what is expected). Have they tried to help you?

Possible issues:

-- CAN bus wiring isn't correct (inverted CAN Hi/Lo, connected to wrong CAN bus on multi-bus loggers, missing CAN termination note the UTC provides termination when it's connected).

-- CAN bus data rate not the same on both transmitter and receiver.

Thank you for your help. I cannot contact my dealer. We CAN communication is through now. Because this car has spent more than a year, used to be displayed in English, and now we just want to display Chinese language

The DBC file used in Display creator has to match the config in the dash that is generated by the Dash Manager, if they do not match, you will get the CAN Comms Timeout error message. Display creator is not directly communicating with the CAN bus, it still uses the Dash hardware and CAN templates to decipher the data coming in on the bus, and the dbc is used as a roadmap for this data.

Very thanks for SDean helped. I see what you means. I tried many ways these days, but it still doesn't works. Now I'm silly, had no idea how to continue to do so. Maybe I was already not far from successfully. Could you give me a example data? I will use the model to check my data. plese! This is my email address 290293050@qq.com thanks so much!

Firstly what Dash do you actually have? Is it a C1xx or D1xx display?

If it is a D1xx display then you only need Display Creator to configure the dash. You can either load in a .dbc file that matches the CAN data from the transmitting device or set it up manually. If you are getting a Comms error then it simply means you have not setup the CAN template (or loaded the correct .dbc file) correctly.

If it is a C1xx display then you need matching Dash Manager and Display Creator configurations. Setting this up is reasonably straight forward, in Dash Manager, go to Functions>Display and change the display type to "Internal Display (Using Display Creator)". Now add all of the channels you want displayed to the list.

Send the configuration to the Dash. Open Display Creator, go to the Communications tab and Import a .dbc file. Dash Manager will have created a .dbc file in the same directory that you Dash config is saved in. Select this file. Setup/Design you display layout and then send the configuration.

The other way you can get this error with a C1xx display is if you don't have the Display Creator upgrade enabled in the dash. The D1xx dashes do not require this upgrade.
