Channels & function from DASH C127

Hello,

I am crating my C127 display using display crator. I would like to import (in Display creator) the used channels from the DASH Manager (display setup -> internal display using display creator -> add channels ...).
The only problem is that this number is fixed to 200 while I would like to export around 270 channels.

Is there any solution for this?

The actual limit is 184 channels not 200. This bug is fixed in the latest version of Dash Manager.

There is a way around this if really necessary, can I ask why you need to display so many channels?

If there are legitimate reasons why people need more than 184 channels then I can get a feature request added and we can look at increasing it.

Yes, you are right. I don't need all those channels. The only reason was to avoid to recreate the DBC if it would be required to add additional channels later on (and so have all the channels already in the display from the beginning).

The reason was that: if I import a new DBC file (same as before with one or two channels added) in a display configuration the groups (in the display creator) lose connection with the channels.

Anyways, as you said we selected the channels required and obviously they are less than 184.

Is there anything I do in the wrong way when I import an updated DBC file in an existing display config?

Can you explain what you mean by the groups lose connection with the channels?

Importing a dbc file with added or removed channels shouldn't give you any issues, even though the channels may change position in the dbc file they should continue to be linked to the correct channel in DC.
