Help, at the track and gps not working

Hey guys,

So I’m at the track with the new motec c125 on and working awesome etc… only thing I can’t get to work is the gps.

The red light is flashing, but when I go on dash manager and check channels it says gps satellites used as 0 units??

Is there anyway the 3 pins going back into the c125 dash are the wrong way? If so could someone tell me the correct pins they should be in and I’ll check this arvo after the track.

Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben,

The C125 has two RS232-RX pins. If I had to guess I would say your receive templates are configured on the wrong RS232 interface.

In C125 Dash Manager in Connections > Communications remove the GPS- Standard RMC GGA from the current RS232 interface and re add the template to the other RS232 interface.

To add a template click the 'Select' button in between the two lists and find GPS-Standard RMC GGA in the templates.

Thanks I’ll try that.

Is there any way to find out which coloured wire goes to which pin on the gps connecter? I tried pulling the heat shrink back and they all snapped

I’ve changed the gps on the dash manager but when I go to send it to the dash I get this message, so I just delete theee channels or do I need to re assign them?

Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben,

Did you delete the template out of the RS232-1 parameters first, and then close the Communications window, before adding the GPS template into the RS232-2 section?

Those channels are not needed to be logged or displayed so there is no issue in removing them from there.
