M1 prefconfigured alarms migrated to dash to display?

What is the best way to set up the alarm notifications in a C127 when using pre-configured alarms in M1 firmware?

Is this even an option or must each existing alarm be programmed into the C127 as well?

There are 2 dfferent types of alarms you could be referring to.

The first is your M1 Tune alarms, which don't function outside of the tune software.

The second is the channel warnings. These can be used for triggering alarms in the dash. They need to be enabled and configured in the ECU, and you need the channel to be present in the comms template in the dash.

When the above is done, you can have an alarm triggered based on that warning channel state. You still need to do this setup in the dash, however once it is setup, any changes you make to the conditions of the warnings will affect the triggering of the dash warning, without having to go into the dash config separately to update alarms.

Nathan,

Thanks for clarifying and showing that example. The unit is now transmitting the warnings as presented.
