Bosch wiper and C1212

Postby Islandworks on Mon Aug 31, 2020 6:44 am

Hi,

Is there a way to use one of the aux outputs from the C1212 to control a Bosch wiper? It seems the C187 has this feature, but I cannot find this for the C1212.

Happy for any feedback!

I would expect that a C1812 would be able to do what a C187 does, since it's the professional-level 12 inch display logger. The Club-level loggers (ie. C12x) don't have all the features of the pro loggers.

I checked the C1812 documentation and it says one of the aux-outputs can speak LIN. That's a pity since I hoped to use my C1212 in that manner without needing a converter.

A C125 can do it with the analogue version of the wiper, so I would expect a C1212 can do so, too. Have to use a combination of user conditions to mimic the analogue switching called for by the wiper. The only thing I know that has a LIN output capable of running the LIN version of the wiper is an M1 ECU. If you have the LIN version and don't have a LIN output, you're stuck with a LIN to CAN converter.

I do have a M150 so I could do that. The ECU is however on the exact opposite of the car... I’ll go the analogue route then...
